AFTERLIFE DIARY

Will Rike

I still existed, but in a much more intense and vivid way after I went through "the tunnel" and into "the light." I was far more powerful, yet I was still me.

Oh, and there's no almighty god. Yes Jesus, Allah, and Buddha, and all the other famous ones are gods. But so are you and me. I'd better start at the beginning.

I spent some time in the afterlife after a car accident. I don't know how long I was there but it seemed a long time, and what you're about to read is a diary of my experiences there. While I was there I didn't need to write anything because my memory was very powerful. But now that I'm back, I have to use my Earth-memory. So I'm writing this diary before I forget too much.

Oh, and another thing: I saw only what I saw. It's like "Columbus" going back to Europe and telling everybody what he saw in the places he had been, and then Europeans thinking all of "India" is like what he saw. And it wasn't even India. At least in my case I asked a few of the "high psyches" there a number of questions about the larger picture. And I still remember their answers. So read on dear reader.

I

First of all it's not a tunnel. It's an illusion to earth eyes due to the fact that light does the reverse there: it tends to converge on a point rather than radiate from it, so an area around a light is dark giving the illusion of a tunnel with light at the end of it.

Big news: You can mentally create your existence. Prefer a mountain retreat? Just have it. Prefer to be in a crowded pub or an overpriced house in Ireland? So be it.

People there seemed at all different stages of personal evolution just like here, though all had more power and happiness than people here. Most of those I met were strangers to mejust like in my dreamsbut I saw many people who were gathered in families, including their dog. I didn't spend enough time there to find my family. But next time I will. I guess. (This is a whole can of worms, but as I learned, it can be just a lot of personal chatter that seems important here on Earth but there it doesn't really matter. The trouble is, sometimes it's not just chatter, hence the proliferation of Dr. Fills and gurus here.)

II

As I arsed about I occasionally asked passers-by about a subject that is quite important here: Who gets to go there? I was very surprised to be told by more than one 'highly-evolved' that everyone, good or bad, goes there. Apparently there is no worse than here on Earth! There's just here and there, Hell and Heaven. There are no other places like purgatory and limbo. Pretty shocking. One there said to me: "A decent god would make no worse than Earth." Some 'less-evolveds' told me they sure were glad they weren't in a hell given their less-than-perfect lives. I asked if Stalin and Hitler were there. One said, "they got sent back." But I later learned they weren't sent back by some Almighty God or some President or King of the Afterlife. There's no such thing. They had simply "died" in the afterlife because they had lost so much personal evolution having caused so much grief to a hundred million relatives and friends of tens of millions they had killed. Apparently the past is the only true punishment because the past IS your level of development. And here's really bad news: you can't change it. A bad past means you're stuck at a level of personal evolution below the one you what you want to be at. Yes, you can recognize your past errors and stop making them over and over again. This will slowly create a new past that has fewer errors in it. There is no "forgiveness" as such, just the opportunity to create a better future based on the lessons of the past. There is no bearded one at some gate judging you, just the irrevocable truth of the past and the power to create a better future.

Many other "emotionally charged" matters here are rather minor there, and even sometimes amusing. Here on Earth lots of gurus and guides make good money telling us their particular variations of this. I eventually met one there who was considered very highly evolved and asked her a good many questions, especially on the subject of whether there is a president or king god over all of us gods. I'll give you a transcript later.

This whole subject of death and heaven and hell is far more fearsome than it should be. One thing that is absent from the afterlife is fear. Once you know you continue after death the whole death-politic you spent your whole life cowering from becomes a very healthy laugh which releases untold reserves of pain. Why are we so afraid of dying? Why do we want more medical treatment in the final years of our lives than all the rest put together? Just to avoid the joyful existence that awaits?

This is where the world's religion corporations may have failed us most having so long assured us that there is an afterlife, but then defining their own version of it and telling us that's the way it is then they put a zillion conditions on it as if it were an insurance policy.

III

But  now I want to talk about what I learned about the things you and I should be doing here on Earth in order to enter the next life at the highest evolutionary level possible. I am not at any higher level of evolution that you are, dear reader. Well, I did gain a lot of useful knowledge on this subject, so I am a temporary teacher who merely has more information than you do at the moment.

First of all, our accumulated knowledge determines our level of evolution and the level we enter the afterlife. Knowledge is so important that we are what we know. But most students, when asked why they go to college, say it is to get a good job. But this is not the right reason to go to college. It's not the college, it's the knowledge. (See The God Book.)

IV

Let's talk about depression for just a minute because it also says a lot to those of us who have never been depressed. Depression is a brain-chemistry problem, so in the afterlife it's no longer a problem. But there is the problem of the ideas collected by a depressed person throughout life. Ideas don't exist at the physical level, so they carry over to the afterlife. Many ideas are dysfunctional and need to be erased from any further influence on the afterlife consciousness. You might think that only depressed persons need dysfunctional ideas erased. But, actually, most of us do.
